Since it is not always possible for people to come into one of my offices to get assistance with their passport applications, I’m bringing my office to you. At the clinic, you can receive assistance filling out the application, have your pictures taken, and have applications reviewed to ensure all materials and documentation are included and is ready to take to your guarantor for signing. Note: We have organized for a photographer to be present, and a set of passport photos (2 are required for each application) can be taken for $20. You can pay the photographer in cash. There is also a fee for the Passport itself ($87 for Adults, and $22-$37 for children under 16), and you must pay this directly to Passport Canada, by credit card, certified cheque or money order (cash or debit is not available). What Should You Bring?
Who Is the Guarantor? As part of your Passport application, you may be required to have a guarantor. Recent changes to Passport Canada’s guarantor policy mean that most Canadian passport holders can be guarantors, as long as they meet the following conditions:
The guarantor is responsible for completing Section 2 of the application (Declaration of Guarantor), signing the back of one of your photo’s (the guarantor should sign the photo that has been stamped on the back by the photographer), and to sign any photocopies of your Documents to Support Identity (Section 5).
